The latest installment in “Things You’ve Been Doing Wrong Your Entire Life” comes to us via a question posted on Reddit the other day: “What was your ‘Ohh, so that’s what it was for’ moment that took you too long to find out?” user ThatGuyPhillip questioned fellow Redditors in an AskReddit thread.
One answer in particular made us question everything we thought we knew about our kitchen utilities:
“That after a lifetime of fighting with aluminum foil and plastic wrap roles there are 2 tabs on the ends of the box that when pushed in hold the tube in place for easier removal,” commented Reddit user Spacedude50. The enlightening comment received over 14 thousand up-votes in a day and dozens of replies.
“WHAT??? Runs to the kitchen and back… I’ll be… son of a… You’re a freaking genius!” replied user wordserious.
User something4222 commented, “I literally went to check my aluminum foil just now and how did I never know about these.”
If you don’t happen to have a box of aluminum foil on hand, allow us to explain exactly what these Redditors are freaking out about.
