While the name Chips Ahoy! might evoke feelings of childhood fun, take a sec to sail the sea of nutrition stats. The Chips Ahoy! Crunch packs 310 calories and 15 grams sugar, while its creme-filled cousin comes loaded with 380 calories and 26 grams of the sweet stuff.
These numbers may be typical of similar pastries at the chain, but consider grabbing something that’s just a donut instead—no extra crumbles or bolus of creamy filling. Dunkin’s Sugar Raised Donut (230 calories, 4 g sugar) isn’t a bad bet. Or, snack on Chip Ahoy! Originals without the baked baggage by crushing two cookies (106 calories, 5 g fat, 10 g sugar) into 7 oz. of Fage Total 2% plain yogurt (150 calories, 4 g fat, 8 g sugar).
