WHISKEY BUSINESS

One serving: 216 calories, 19.5 g carbs, 0.6 g fiber, 18 g sugars

This boozy lemon, honey, and ginger infused drink from STK Los Angeles combines the sweet, smoky, and spicy flavors that we all crave come autumn. “The Jameson and Glenlivet warm you with each sip while the honey and ginger add a sweet and spicy touch,” STK tells us. While the ingredients in this tasty sip are far better than the icky bottled mix, it’s a bit on the caloric side so enjoy one—and only one—and really savor the flavor.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

1.5 oz. Jameson Black Barrel Whiskey
1.74 oz. Glenlivet 12 Year Old Scotch Whisky
0.75 oz. lemon juice
0.75 oz. honey syrup (equal parts honey and water, heated in a saucepan)
3 slices of fresh ginger

HOW TO MAKE IT

Using a wooden muddler or mixing spoon, muddle the fresh ginger in the bottom of a cocktail shaker until it’s well mashed. Add the Jameson, lemon juice, and honey syrup, and fill shaker with ice. Shake until well chilled, about 20 seconds. Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass (you may wish to double-strain through a fine tea strainer to remove the small flecks of ginger). Pour the Glenlivet 12 over the back of a bar spoon so that it floats atop the drink.
