We’re giving Chipotle an A+ (and a smiley face with “Great job!” written underneath) for this deal. In honor of Teacher Appreciation Day on May 3rd, Chipotle is rolling out a buy-one-get-one deal for teachers and school staff members (including homeschooling parents, pre-K teachers, and community college and university professors) from 3 p.m. until close. All you have to do is show a valid school ID at any U.S. location, and a free burrito, bowl, salad, or order of tacos is yours—so long as you purchase something else from the menu, at least.
If you’re dining solo, we suggesting picking up something inexpensive like a side of chips or guac to score your free grub. Or if you’re feeling generous, you could pick up a bite for a friend. And for all you non-educators out there, show your appreciation—and save your favorite teach some dough—by taking your kid’s favorite math wizard or mad scientist (read: science teacher) out for dinner. You can even avoid the awkward small talk by testing their food knowledge with our fun quiz, Does Science Say This Food Makes You Happy Or Sad?
Ready to get your eat on? Before you head over to the Mexican grill, there are a two small technicalities to keep in mind: Each teacher or staff member is limited to one free item, and you’ll have to show up in person to take advantage of the promotion (because of the whole ID thing).
