This New Movie About McDonald’s Founder Looks Amazing

For being one of the largest, most successful, and most easily recognizable fast food companies in the world, there are still plenty of things you don't know about McDonald's. Like, did you know the fast food giant got its start when a struggling, 52-year-old, milkshake-machine salesman virtually stole the restaurant from its original owners?

If not, that's all going to change on January 20th, 2017—opening day for the new movie, The Founder. The biopic tells the real-life story of McDonald's "founder" Ray Kroc (played by Michael Keaton) who stumbles upon the McDonald brothers and their small Minnesota restaurant after they order several of his Multi-Mixer milkshake machines. Impressed by their uniquely original and downright revolutionary idea to deliver burger orders "ready in 30 seconds, not 30 minutes," Ray sees an, ahem, golden opportunity to expand their business.

And if you thought the crazy things McDonald's has already done this year were outratgeous enough, just wait until you see the lengths Kroc goes to in order to rob the McDonald brothers of their innovative business strategy. Check out how Kroc's persistence led him to become CEO of a multi-million-dollar company in this trailer for The Founder.
