Score A First Look At Starbucks’ New Fruity Iced Teas
By April Benshosan
Finally! Starbucks is debuting three new fruity iced teas, and they’re keeping them on the menu way past summertime!
The ‘Bux revealed its brand new Teavana Shaken Iced Tea Infusions, and they sound oh so refreshingly delicious. Starting July 14, you’ll be able to order the Peach Citrus White Tea, Pineapple Black Tea, and Strawberry Green Tea for just $3 a pop. The best part? They’re made with freshly steeped fruit and botanical blends, then blended with premium Teavana teas, and gently sweetened with liquid cane sugar. It sure sounds like these brand new bevs are light and fruity, but how much will sipping on one actually set you back?
All three flavors boast the same nutritionals, so a 16-ounce Grande cup will cost you an Eat This-approved 45 calories and 11 grams of sugar. Opt for the lemonade-spiked versions and you’ll be adding 25 calories and an extra five grams of sugar to your order. But you may not want to stick a straw into the latter once you disover exactly What Happens To your Body When You Eat Sugar.
