McDonald's Is Bringing Back These Nostalgic '90s Happy Meal Toys
Tamagotchi. Butterfly hair clips. Dunkaroos snacks. There are some items that instantly conjure nostalgia among '90s kids, and McDonald's happy meal toys are chief among them. From the miniature Beanie Babies to Furby and My Little Pony figurines, McDonald's had tiny versions of all the popular '90s toys. And for a limited time only, the '90s Happy Meal toys are coming back.
Whether you missed out on classic miniatures like Patti the Platypus the first time around, or your old Happy Meal toys have long been the property of Goodwill, now's your chance to buy the iconic toys once again. Starting on Nov. 7th, the '90s Happy Meal toys will be for sale once again, in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Happy Meal.
Which Happy Meal toys are included?
A video McDonald's shared on Instagram showcases the vintage toys, and there's something for everyone. There are McDonald's-branded toys, like plastic chicken nuggets, a Hamburglar figure, a purple Grimace toy, a McDonald's racecar, and a red McDonald's dinosaur. There are also toys with characters like Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny, Hello Kitty, a Power Ranger, and a My Little Pony. And, of course, there are the all-time classics, including Furby, Tamagotchi, and Patti.
How long will the Happy Meal toys be around?
They'll be in McDonald's locations until Nov. 11—or while supplies last. So if you've got your eye on a specific toy, it might be worth visiting your local McDonald's sooner rather than later. Patti and Grimace won't be waiting forever, and you don't want to get stuck with the McDonald's racecar.
