This Dine-In Restaurant Chain Was Just Voted #1 in Customer Satisfaction

It was rated highly for food and beverage options and customer service.

This year's report from American Customer Satisfaction Index, which surveyed customers on recent restaurant experiences, found that full-service restaurants are becoming less desirable than fast casual takeout places.

However, in the category of sit-down restaurants, one chain did come out on top for providing a reliably positive experience for customers during this challenging year. LongHorn Steakhouse was crowned as the full-service restaurant leader in customer satisfaction, based on factors like staff courtesy and helpfulness, table service speed, restaurant layout and cleanliness, and the variety and quality of food and beverage options.

The category included other full-service restaurants with big market shares like Texas Roadhouse, which came in at a close second, followed by Cracker Barrel, Olive Garden, and Red Lobster, which scored similarly high marks.

Red Robin, Ruby Tuesday, and Chili's landed at the bottom of the list.

Longhorn Steakhouse has had steady customer satisfaction ratings for years. Customers reported the same level of satisfaction with the chain's dine-in service as they did last year, which means the company was able to overcome the pandemic hurdles without a drop in service quality.

The Florida-based chain currently operates almost 500 locations nationwide. While dine-in options depend on state regulations, the LongHorn Steakhouse locations that do offer dine-in services are following strict health protocols. Employees of the chain get their temperatures checked before each shift and are mandated to wear face masks at all times. Social distancing and additional cleaning protocols are in place, too.
