Walmart May Be Adding These 3 New Cereal Products

Rumors on Instagram suggest these cereal snack mixes are coming to a Walmart near you.

Cereal may typically be billed as a breakfast food, but it's actually incredibly versatile! Consider all the different cereals on the market—how many of them work as a snack too? Quite a few of them, probably. You can eat cereal by the handful, you can transform it into a dessert, or you can throw it into a snack mix.

Soon, General Mills is going to do all that work for you. The popular brand is rumored to be releasing snack mixes made out of popular cereal flavors, including Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Chocolate Toast Crunch, and Golden Grahams.

Foodie Instagram account @candyhunting, who is always in the know on all the sweets and treats coming to stores, shared a sneak peek of the treats last week. (Related: What Happens To Your Body When You Eat Cereal Every Day)

In the post, @candyhunting only shared that the snack mixes are coming, reportedly to Walmart, but didn't have any further information. The Instagram post also says the products aren't currently indexed on Walmart's site, so the release date is really and truly up in the air.

Going by the packaging, here's what we can tell about each option: Golden Grahams Remix has Golden Grahams cereal, Cocoa Puffs cereal, and marshmallows; Chocolate Toast Crunch Remix has Chocolate Toast Crunch Cereal, caramel popcorn, and Vanilla Chex cereal; and Cinnamon Toast Crunch Remix has Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, crunchy churros, and Vanilla Chex cereal.

All three cereal snack mixes sound delicious—yet super sweet and full of added sugars. This is one of those snacks that you probably don't want to eat every day, and instead, save for a well-deserved treat. While the snack mixes are made from cereal, it's probably not in your best interest to start your day with these either. Instead, reach for a healthy cereal option to start your day off on the right foot.
