Dr. Fauci Warns: Don't Go Here
We are approaching the coldest months of the year — as well as the cold and flu season — and the number of COVID-19 infections continue to increase in nearly half of the states in America. According to Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's leading infectious disease expert and key member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, this is a recipe for disaster and could lead to another major surge, and more concerningly, more deaths. During these make-it-or-break-it months, Dr. Fauci strongly urges everyone to follow his fundamentals — especially avoiding one of the most dangerous places in regards to the spread of the virus — bars. If You Go There You Are Asking For Trouble
When asked during a Good Morning America about his thoughts on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announcing the full reopening of the state's bars and restaurants, Fauci didn't hesitate to express his fears.
"Well that is very concerning to me, I mean, we have always said that, myself and Dr. Deborah Birx—who is the coordinator of the task force—that that is something we really need to be careful about. Because when you're dealing with community spread, and you have the kind of congregate setting where people get together, particularly without masks, you're really asking for trouble," he pointed out.
In fact, instead of reopening, he believes that it is more important than ever to avoid dangerous places. "Now's the time actually to double down a bit, and I don't mean close," he added, mentioned that "common sense" should be used.

"You've got to take it very seriously"
"When I say that, people get concerned that we're talking about shutting down," he said. "We're not talking about shutting anything down, we're talking about common sense-type of public health measures that we've been talking about all along."
"You've got to take it very seriously," he continued. "The numbers globally are very serious. "If you're going to try, which you should try to open up the economy and get things back to normal," he pointed out. "If you do it in a prudent way — and a prudent way means focus on the things that are important — you could open up businesses, you can do things like that," he added.
However, Dr. Fauci makes sure to point out that bars, nightclubs, and other places that promote, not discourage social distancing, should be off limits.
"But when you start congregating at bars without masks or in congregate settings, where people are crowded together, indoors without masks, that's asking for trouble," he concluded. And to get through this pandemic at your healthiest, don't miss these 35 Places You're Most Likely to Catch COVID.
