Yikes: Another week, another E. Coli outbreak. A month after cases of food poisoning caused by the bacteria were traced back to Chipotle restaurants in five states, 19 cases of E. coli have been linked to rotisserie chicken salad purchased at Costco locations. The infections have been reported in seven states: Montana, Utah, Colorado, California, Missouri, Virginia and Washington state. This strain of the bacteria is more severe than one that originated at Chipotle, hospitalizing several people. The CDC advises that if you bought rotisserie chicken salad from any Costco store on or before November 20, throw it away, even if you've eaten part of it without getting sick. Scary stuff.
