Diminish Forehead Lines

If your face is full of expression, then you've probably noticed horizontal lines across your forehead. To reduce their appearance, place your index and middle finger of both hands in the center of your forehead, and stack them vertically. Then, moving horizontally across your forehead towards your hairline, create half circles with each set of fingers, and gently pull the skin in the opposite direction. Continue moving along the forehead while alternating the finger sets in top position. Once you reach your hairline, go back to the center of your forehead, and work in the other direction. Repeat this exercise in each direction 5 times.

Getting outdoors works wonders for your mind and body, but it can often lead to squinting and, hence, annoying "crow's feet" around your eyes. To continue to enjoy the sunshine and avoid more wrinkles, place your index fingers on the skin just below the center of each of your eyes. Gently massage the skin by moving your fingers toward your temples and stopping once you reach each outer eye. Gently pull the skin to smooth wrinkles, and squint in an upward direction for 5 seconds to strengthen your lower lids. Repeat 5 times.

Ease Face Tension

Lion's Breath is a form of Pranayama breathwork done in Lion Pose, or Simhasana, and is amazing for stretching and promoting relaxation in the face and neck. Start by relaxing your shoulders down your back and placing your hands on your thighs. Take a big inhale through your nose, expanding the breath into your ribcage. Then exhale out of your mouth, making a loud "haaa" sound and extending your tongue out and towards your chin to finish. Repeat 5 times.

*Note: Make sure to do this with a clean face and hands and apply face oil so your hands glide across your skin.
