This Beloved Breakfast Chain Is Now Offering Alcohol

Cocktails are available with all your faves for the first time in the restaurant's nearly 40-year history.

Over the summer Cracker Barrel announced that beer and wine are now on the menu at a select few restaurants, and another chain is following in those footsteps. You can now order cocktails with pancakes, omelets, sandwiches, and more at 100 First Watch locations around the country.

It's the first time alcohol is on the menu in the chain's 37-year-history. Two classics—a Mimosa, and a Sparking cocktail—are tried and true favorites, but First Watch is adding five brand new signature drinks, too.

The Cinnamon Toast Cereal Milk includes coconut rum, cold brew coffee, coconut milk, and agave nectar. The Million Dollar Bloody Mary combines vodka, an in-house made bloody mary mix, and, of course, a strip of the chain's Million Dollar Bacon.

The remaining three offer refreshing and fruity options. The Morning Glory is vodka with fresh orange juice, lemon, turmeric, ginger, and agave nectar. The Pomegranate Sunrise uses tequila, pomegranate juice, fresh lime, and agave nectar. The final cocktail option is a play on the Kale Tonic Fresh Juice—freshly juiced kale, Fuji apple, English cucumber, and lemon, but with vodka.

"Brunch is an occasion to relax and connect with friends, and cocktails have become synonymous with that experience, so it wasn't long before our customers began asking for them," the company's president and CEO, Chris Tomasso, says.

First Watch plans to offer the cocktails at 100 restaurants to start but will expand it to 200 by the beginning of 2021. To find out if the location in your neighborhood is one, go to the company's website.
