You Can Get Free Taco Bell Next Week—Here's How

A stolen base during the World Series means we all get a free Taco Bell taco!

Even if your team is out, taco fans are the ultimate winners in this World Series, thanks to Taco Bell's "Steal a Base, Steal a Taco" deal. It all went down during the first game on Tuesday night between the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros. In the first inning, Nationals' shortstop Trea Turner stole second base, and for the fifth year in a row, Taco Bell announced on Twitter that America won a free taco!

For seven years now, Taco Bell has offered to give away free tacos if there is a stolen base during any game of baseball's World Series. With the offer, customers get one free taco at any participating Taco Bell locations across the country. (Unfortunately, the promotion is only available once and doesn't count for other stolen bases.) Whether or not you're a baseball fan, you'll want to take advantage of this deal.

When can you get your free Taco Bell taco?

Head to a Taco Bell anytime between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, to steal your own free taco. If you're ordering on the Taco Bell website or if you're a Taco Bell app user, you can place your order anytime throughout the day, but you must pick up your free taco in the restaurant.

Which kind of taco is free?

Whether you love soft-shell tacos or crunchy ones, you're in luck. According to the fine print on Taco Bell's website, the only taco excluded from the deal is the Doritos Locos Supreme Taco. That means you can get a Soft Taco, a Soft Taco Supreme, a Crunchy Taco, a Crunchy Taco Supreme, or a regular Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos taco.

You can also make the taco vegetarian or vegan by switching the beef for beans and/or the cheese with pico de gallo. Keep in mind, though, that you'll have to pay for add-ons like extra meat, lettuce, cheese, guacamole, or sour cream.

This year, the Taco Bell deal came early in this World Series, just like last year when Boston Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts also stole second base during the first game. The team went on to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers. That's not to say the team with the stolen base went on to win because of the free Taco Bell taco promotion—but who knows. A free Taco Bell meal never hurt anyone.
