Kim Kardashian & Kanye West Have Trouble With Those KFC Kiosks, Just Like the Rest of Us
Forget the foie gras—when Kanye West and Kim Kardashian roll up to the fashion capital of the world, they order fried chicken and French fries.
The couple was recently in Paris visiting the Jean Paul Gaultier fashion house and they didn't come empty-handed: They came bearing a bucket of fried chicken. That's right, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian were dressed to the nines (as per usual) in a reputable designer's fashion house with their KFC order in hand.
Kim posted the evidence—among several other glorious images—on her Instagram, which she captioned "JPG & KFC." Swipe through the slideshow and you'll end up watching a truly legendary video of Kimye slightly struggling to navigate the self-order kiosk at the French KFC establishment.
Sometimes the self-order kiosk at fast-food restaurants gets the best of us, even Mr. and Mrs. West.
At first glance, it's easy to assume the menu is in French, but if you watch the video on Kim's Instagram, you'll see the menu is actually in English. So, why then did the couple appear to be having a hard time placing their order? We can all agree that the self-order kiosks (that are continuously popping up) in beloved fast-food chains everywhere trip us all up, at least initially.
The couple eventually came to a decision, though. Kanye pointed to some chicken drumsticks and Kim exclaimed, "Wait, fries!"
You may not have a self-order kiosk at the KFC near you yet, and that's because they just began emerging in U.S. locations last year. KFC locations in Europe adopted the self-order kiosk years ago, with the first one popping up in the U.K as early as 2008.
If anything, it's a little bit reassuring to see that even the most put-together famous couples also aren't always confident while punching in their order at a fast-food kiosk.
