This Beloved Regional Pizza Chain Is Rolling Out a First-Of-Its-Kind Pizza

Oath pizza is introducing a brand new (and permanent) pizza crust.

Calling all of our friends who either have celiac disease, gluten intolerance, or gluten sensitivity. Oath Pizza has some exciting news for you: The regional chain is partnering with Banza—aka the brand that makes delicious chickpea pasta, mac & cheese, and rice—and introducing a brand new chickpea pizza crust to locations everywhere.

The chickpea-based crust will begin rolling out in Oath's 50-plus restaurants this month, starting today. The first locations to get a taste of the Banza crust will be those located in Massachusetts, New York, Ohio, and Virginia.

Certified gluten-free, the new permanent menu item will replace Oath's previous cauliflower and gluten-free crusts. Much like a typical crust that contains gluten, the Banza variety offers that same crispy outer texture and doughy center. The partnership comes just seven months after Banza launched its pizza crust in grocery stores.

"Oath Pizza is proud to be the first restaurant to offer Banza's chickpea pizza crust. The partnership stems from our shared core values, so Banza is the perfect addition to Oath's 100% feel-good menu featuring thoughtfully sourced toppings and wholesome, fresh produce," Drew Kellogg, Chief Executive Officer at Oath Pizza, said in a statement.

"Banza's chickpea pizza crust meets our high standards for taste and texture and uniquely satisfies the dietary needs of our vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free guests—allowing us to inspire happiness in even more people."

Soon, you'll be able to enjoy one of Oath's signature pizza pie flavors on a protein-packed, chickpea crust. So, what will it be, the Muffled Trushroom or the Spicy Mother Clucker?
