Approximately 40,000 grocery shoppers voted in the 2021 Product of the Year Awards, which crowned innovative products in 41 different categories as America's favorites. Though the first-place finisher in the Cookie category is a classic, the recipe for Keebler Chips Deluxe Original cookies was recently refreshed.

These Keebler cookies now feature more high-quality and real ingredients along with that signature elf magic. But despite the additions of real chocolate and natural vanilla, they're still dessert! One serving, which is about two cookies, contains 160 calories, 19 grams of carbs, 9 grams of fat, 9 grams of sugar, and 105 milligrams of sodium. They're also lacking in the fiber (less than 1 gram) and protein (1 gram) departments. (Related: The 7 Healthiest Foods to Eat Right Now.)

Though these cookies are customer-approved, they have virtually no nutritional value besides 6% of the daily recommended amount of iron. Sticking to one cookie at a time is a good way to limit sugar, fat, and carbs so you don't overload your body. (For more, here's how to tell if you're eating too much sugar, according to dietitians.)

We've previously covered the winners in several other top categories. One serving of the winner of the Breakfast category is filled with 14 grams of protein. The Sports Nutrition first-place finisher has zero sugar, a ton of electrolytes, plus BCAAs and creatine to support muscle growth and health. The winner of the Coffee category is actually a coffee creamer, but it's low in calories and 100% vegan.
