She loves jackfruit.

In August 2020, Cardi professed her love for jackfruit on Instagram, as well as revealing her unorthodox preparation of the tropical treat. To get the massive fruit open, Cardi simply threw it onto her stone steps multiple times until it cracked open, after which she sliced it with a knife.

"It's so good!" she exclaimed after digging in.

After discovering that she had run out of her preferred fruit topping, Tajin—a combination of chili peppers, lime, and sea salt—Cardi decided to improvise when digging into a ripe mango.

Her alternate topping of choice? None other than classic seafood seasoning Old Bay. "Not bad at all," she said of the unique combination, noting that she found the sweet and savory combination reminiscent of certain Thai dishes. "I like it," she said. "Really good." While the bulk of Cardi's snacks may be plant-based, she still leaves some space for her favorite treats. On Instagram, Cardi revealed that, in addition to her favorite fruits and veggies, she typically keeps some candy on hand, too. "And then the bad things!" she captioned a shot of bowls of Starbursts, Kit Kats, Hot Tamales, Swedish Fish, Sour Patch Kids, Haribo gummies, Jolly Ranchers, and Blow Pops.
