Costco Just Announced These 4 Boozy Holiday Calendars

It's never too early to start counting down to the holidays.

Summer isn't over yet, but Costco is already looking ahead to the holidays. Members can stock up on decor and gift-wrapping supplies right now, as well as some newly-announced boozy seasonal favorites.

Costco's beloved annual holiday calendars dropped in mid-September last year. This year is no different, except for the number of choices that are available. Members now have four "calendars" to get them through December, which—believe it or not—is only three months away.

As in previous years, these calendars are likely to sell out fast! Without further ado, here's everything you need to know about the new collection. (For more on what you should and shouldn't purchase on your next trip to the warehouse, here are 18 Foods You'll Regret Buying in Bulk at Costco.)

The Brewer's Advent Calendar pack, which has been available at Costco for almost a decade, features 24 beers from seven different collections, according to the September edition of Costco Connection. Tony Rizzo, the San Diego regional beer buyer who helped develop the program, told the magazine that the 16.9-ounce cans of German beers "range from marzen (a lager that originated in Bavaria), to pilsner, IPA, doppelbock, hefeweizen, and more."

This year's batch is already available for $59.99.

The iconic Wine Advent Calendar is officially back—and it's a tradition that many members know and love.

"We didn't develop this idea, but we Costco-sized it," Kirk Johnson, a wine buyer for Costco's Midwest region, told Costco Connection. "We made this item bigger and better by using half bottles instead of the standard 187-milliliter bottles you see in other packs. We also gathered 24 unique, premium-quality wines to create a treasure hunt for our members."

This year's calendar includes bottles of Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé, and other varieties of wine from Bulgaria, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. You can read up on all of the details before Dec. 1 on this handy website.

Also available this year is a four-pack box of regular-sized wines from the Bordeaux region of France, all of which are rated 90 or above by Wine Enthusiast. An ideal buy for any wine lover who yearns to travel to the Bordeaux region, it contains Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Merlot wines. In the past, the collection has been priced at either $29.99 or $34.99.

This set, with six different varieties of sparkling wines from Europe, is guaranteed to add a little pop to any holiday evening. "Some are dry, while some are sweet, and one is a sparkling rose," Mark Kalkbrenner, a Costco regional wine buyer in the Bay Area, says. "Experience this item over six nights, or bring it to a party and open them all up at once. It is also packaged beautifully to give as a gift."
