This Latest Free Giveaway for Vaccines Has Everyone Talking
Since entering office in January 2021, President Joe Biden has made it his mission to end the COVID-19 pandemic once and for all. One of his main efforts has been to get 70 percent of the population at least one vaccination by July 4, a goal he is very close to reaching. This week 62.8 percent of Americans are at least partially vaccinated. However, to make sure people continue to line up for their shot, two new incentives have been announced.
Free Child Care Will Be Offered to Parents and Carers So They Can Get Vaccinated
As part of the White House's "National Month of Action," which involves everyone from celebrities, athletes, and social media influencers to national and community organizations as well as large corporations, free child care will be offered to parents and caregivers so that they can get vaccinated. Four of the largest childcare providers are on board.
KinderCare and Learning Care Group are offering free, drop-in appointments to any parent or caregiver who needs support to get vaccinated or recover from vaccination, while the Y.M.C.A., with more than 500 sites nationwide in nearly every state and many cities, is also offering drop-in care during vaccination appointments. Additionally, Bright Horizons, an employer specific daycare center, will also offer free care during vaccination for the 10 million workers that are employed by the companies they work with.
