Dr. Fauci Just Said Three Words Everyone Should Hear

We aren’t at the finish line yet.

In just a few short months, the United States went from being in the depths of the worst surge of COVID-19 infections thus far in the pandemic to one of the lowest infection rates. However, that didn't happen by coincidence. At the 6th Annual Hemispheric Security Conference, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the chief medical advisor to the President and the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases revealed the secret to turning things around and also warned that the war against the deadly virus isn't over yet. The Three Words Everyone Should Hear

When asked about the "driving factors" of getting rid of infection, Dr. Fauci had a simple three word answer. "Vaccination, vaccination, and vaccination," he revealed. "That's it. I mean, it really is. As simple as that."

"We have been fortunate enough that we have a highly, highly effective series of vaccines, not just one that if we can accentuate the overwhelming proportion of our population, we can get to that strict control that I talk about," he continued.

However, getting vaccinated alone won't completely stop the pandemic. There are a few other things people need to do, specifically until there is herd immunity: follow Dr. Fauci's fundamentals. "Short of that, when we're not there yet, we've got to maintain the public health measures that we've been talking about now for well over a year," he stated.

And, while he thinks we have come far, we aren't at the finish line yet. "We should not declare victory prematurely until we do get that rather strict control of the outbreak," he said.
