Grab your reusable bags and head to the store because the great Grape Nuts shortage of 2020-2021 is officially over! Post Consumer Brands has confirmed the news to us and released information about how some fans can get a refund for purchasing an expensive box while they were scarce.

Fans who paid over $10 for Grape Nuts between Nov. 1, 2020, and March 15, 2021, are eligible for a refund. That's a pretty nice offer— especially since some boxes were sold for as much as $110 (Post will refund up to $115). All you need to do is submit a valid receipt before April 15  to this website.

"It became abundantly clear during the shortage that Grape-Nuts fans are 'Nuts for Grape-Nuts…So much so that some of our loyal super fans were willing to pay extreme prices just to ensure they wouldn't be without their favorite crunchy cereal," said Kristin DeRock, Grape-Nuts brand manager at Post Consumer Brands. "As a way to show our appreciation and thank these fans for their dedication, we want to repay the love by reimbursing them."

Buzz started brewing last fall when fans couldn't find boxes at the store. The company assured them production delays were the problem— the cereal is made with "a proprietary technology and a production process that isn't easily replicated," and bulk buying during the pandemic was causing an issue. But, they also said the cereal would be back by October.

Finally, almost six months later, the shortage should be over.
