This Popular New Burger Chain Is Being Called Out for Terrible, Raw Food
Fast-food chain MrBeast Burger and its founder, popular YouTuber MrBeast, have found themselves at the center of a Twitter takedown last week. A flurry of customer criticism at the expense of the chain's food was backed up by photographic evidence showing subpar burgers and chicken sandwiches allegedly sold by the chain.
The virtual burger chain was launched by the 23-year-old, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, in 2020, and it was an overnight success, managing to harness the power of his celebrity status with gamers and his youthful YouTube fanbase. Donaldson partnered with Virtual Dining Concepts to bring MrBeast's burgers, chicken sandwiches, and crinkle-cut fries to over 600 ghost kitchens around the United States. According to Fast Company, the chain will likely expand to a whopping 1,000 locations by the end of the year.

MrBeast Burger promises smashed crispy beef patties on soft rolls, crispy chicken tenders, and fries loaded with everything from caramelized onions to chopped burger bits. In fact, when we tried the chain's latest creation, the Dream Burger, we were highly impressed by the simplicity with which it had achieved perfection—really great individual components that had come together into one unforgettable fast-food experience.
Despite the praise the chain has received since it first launched, some cracks in its operation were exposed on Twitter last week. Following a glowing review of two MrBeast burgers by another YouTuber, negative comments and images of inedible food allegedly delivered by the brand started to pop up.
Users chimed in with their own negative experiences, the most common complaints being that the burgers arrived either completely charred or raw in the middle. Furthermore, pictures of several chicken tenders sandwiches were shown to include strips of uncooked chicken.

Several customers complained about receiving the wrong items in their order and alleged the chain refused to issue refunds.

While it looks like the ghost kitchen operation may have some quality control issues on its hands, there are still legions of MrBeast Burger fans out there who have nothing but high praise for the food.
