Subscription services have been gaining popularity across diverse industries and Panera has found a new way to apply them to the fast-casual world. The bakery chain's new Unlimited Sip Club expands its previous coffee subscription to include all 27 self-serve beverages on offer, including the new Charged Lemonades.

You'll find Panera's Charged Lemonades in Strawberry Lemon Mint, Fuji Apple Cranberry, and Mango Yuzu Citrus flavors. The new drink combines agave lemonade and caffeine from guarana green coffee extract to give you a boost of energy. In fact, according to Panera, a large Charged Lemonade has the same caffeine as its 20-ounce dark roast coffee!

Other drinks included in the Unlimited Sip Club are any size drip hot coffee, hot tea, iced coffee, lemonades, and fountain beverages. You can claim them every two hours during regular bakery-café hours, including free refills of the same beverage at any participating U.S. Panera Bread locations.

In 2020, the chain began offering free unlimited coffee when it launched the first subscription-based service of its kind. Originally, customers would log in through the company's MyPanera loyalty program, sign up, and pay $9 a month for as much hot coffee, iced coffee, and hot tea as they could drink.

Thanks to the success of the initial subscription program, the company is expanding the service in the hopes more customers will be coming through its doors daily. The new subscription will cost $10.99 per month, but you can also nab a free subscription through July 4 when you sign up for membership between now and May 6.

Recently, the chain also began piloting Miso Robotics' automated coffee brewing system. The "CookRight Coffee" system uses artificial intelligence to monitor coffee volume and temperature while also providing predictive analytics that tells the Panera location what type of coffee customers drink the most and when its peak times are.
