Wendy's Is Launching a New Cheeseburger For the Summer

The premium Made to Crave line has a new juicy addition.

Wendy's continues to add new items to their premium Made to Crave line, and we're digging the approach. After giving us experiments in gourmet fast food like the Jalapeño Popper Chicken Sandwich and the Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger, the chain has created another burger that fans won't want to miss.

In celebration of National Hamburger Month, the chain is launching a Bourbon Bacon Cheeseburger for a limited time. The new item is inspired by two American classics—bourbon and cheeseburgers—and has been described as "juicy" and "magical." It combines an original sweet and savory Bourbon Bacon sauce, warm American cheese, crispy Applewood smoked bacon, and crunchy onions, all in between a premium toasted bun.

"Wendy's is the home of the number one bacon cheeseburger for a reason: our beef is always fresh, never frozen and our Applewood smoked bacon is cooked in an oven daily to bring Wendy's signature quality and flavor that we feel is a cut above the competition," said John Li, vice president of culinary innovation at Wendy's. "For our Bourbon Bacon Cheeseburger, our culinary innovation team created a custom sweet but savory Bourbon Bacon sauce to compliment the American cheese, crispy bacon, crunchy onions, and premium toasted bun to bring a delicious, uniquely-Wendy's flavor profile in every bite."

And as usual, Wendy's has a sweet promotional deal to go with the launch. You can snag the cheeseburger for free if you place a Wendy's order through Postmates and spend at least $15, just use the code BOURBON at checkout. The offer is valid from May 6 until May 9.
