Timothée Chalamet and Meryl Streep Love Wendy's Fries Just As Much As You Do

Stars—they're just like us.

Just like us, celebrities also crave salty snacks when they're at work. And for the Little Women cast, Wendy's French fries are the top choice.

This weekend, Timothée Chalamet—who plays Theodore "Laurie" Laurence in the upcoming adaptation of Little Women, which opens on Christmas Day—shared a gallery of some behind-the-scenes snapshots from the set. There are plenty of gems in the post, including a shot of him and Emma Watson throwing up peace signs, as well as a photo of Saoirse Ronan, Eliza Scanlen, and Florence Pugh eating between scenes on a visibly cold day.

But the cream of the crop is, without a doubt, photo number four: a selfie featuring Chalamet alongside director Greta Gerwig and leading ladies Florence Pugh and Meryl Streep. They're all in their period garb—and they're snacking on Wendy's French fries:

In October, Saoirse Ronan—who plays Jo March in the film—revealed during a Little Women post-screening junket that, after one particularly frigid day of filming, Streep ordered Wendy's directly to the set. Los Angeles Times journalist Amy Kaufman tweeted about Ronan's initial reaction to Streep's food order:

Pugh talked about the iconic Wendy's moment on an episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this month as well.

"We were basically shooting this scene in a Boston park," she explained. "It was a scene that was set in Paris, and we were in this carriage and we're both wearing these massive hoop skirts. And because you obviously have to reset horses, it takes a while, and you're in these carriages for a while."

The actress continued: "I remember it was cold and she was like, 'Oh I would just kill for some fries right now.' And within seconds, there was a [production assistant] that was out of breath … and they had grabbed Wendy's fries in about 10 minutes."

Who knew that Wendy's fries could be the perfect snack to fuel up on between scenes? It just goes to show that even some of the highest-grossing actors enjoy the simple pleasures in life, too—including a box of fast-food French fries.
