Halle Berry Shows Off Lean Legs in New Bathtub Pic

Here are her tips and tricks to staying in shape.

At 54, Halle Berry is a fitness force to be reckoned with. This week, the actress and wellness guru reminded us that several decades after becoming a household name, she still has some of the best legs in Hollywood, flaunting them from inside her gorgeous stone bathtub, in an Instagram photo. She even launched Rē•spin—an "all-access at-home fitness program" by her and collaborator/trainer Peter Lee Thomas and Berry "that takes #FitnessFriday to a whole new level"; the product "is our signature training program that delivers engaging, energetic workouts you can do virtually anywhere!" In case you are curious how else Ms. Berry manages to omit her body from the aging process, the answer is within this story. Read on for a few of her secrets, straight from the tub.

The bathtub photo Berry posted on Instagram—captioned "you up?"—is just one example of how she uses her feed to show off her fitness and her results. Nearly every post is dedicated to her commitment to healthy living, including workouts with her trainer, Peter Lee Thomas, diet tips, and healthy living mantras. "You just have to have the will and the desire," she recently told Harper's Bazaar about what it takes to say fit. "And you have to make up your mind that it's important. That's the hard work that people have to do."

She Is Constantly Evolving Her Approach to Fitness

Berry knows the importance of continuing to change up her routine. "I've always been fit, and have always thought about fitness and taking care of my body. It's only changed in terms of how I've been adding to my fitness regimen," she told Harper's Bazaar. "It used to just be working out with weights, and then I got into Pilates, and then I got into yoga, and now I'm into martial arts."

She Does Keto with Intermittent Fasting

Berry is a huge fan of the keto diet, revealing on Live With Kelly and Ryan that it helps her manage her diabetes. "Nothing white. No sugar, no carbs," she said about the strict diet. Instead, she loads up on healthy fats like "avocado, coconut oil, butter," but no sugar. "That's the secret!" In an August 2018 Instagram story she revealed that she is a fan of intermittent fasting, eating two meals a day, saying she would "normally skip breakfast" and "sort of fast." During an April 2019 interview with Hollywood Life her trainer, Peter Lee Thomas, elaborated on her diet, revealing she eats her first meal post-workout, which is "basically her breakfast and lunch combined."

She Has a Few Healthy Drinks of Choice

According to Thomas, Berry sips bone broth throughout the day or as a drink before bed. Berry has also revealed in her Instagram stories that she will start the day off with either a green drink or "bullet coffee"—aka Bulletproof coffee, a concoction of black coffee, MCT oil, and grass-fed, unsalted butter.

She Is a Fighter

Berry mixes up her workouts, with boxing and martial arts two of her go-tos. "Boxing is still considered one of the best full-body workouts," she wrote in an Instagram post. "You'll sculpt every muscle and burn major calories and fat. It dramatically decreases stress levels, develops hand-eye coordination, and builds confidence and discipline. But most importantly… you'll never stop learning. I've been boxing for the past 10 years and regularly for the past three and I love that I always learn a new way to challenge myself and work new muscles."

She Prioritizes Self-Care to Look Runway Ready

"I love Self-Care Sundays, and finding time to read or meditate, do yoga, things that you can easily do at home," she told Harper's Bazaar. "Finding time to destress has been very important for me, because a few times I've had to stay calm and be positive for my children when they're falling apart."
