Drake Is Giving Away Free Chicken Sliders In Honor Of His Birthday

Thereās nothing we love quite so much as a newly minted food holiday, from National Donut Day to National Hummus Day (yes, itās real). There are more than youād think and while they may not come with a day off work, they do tend to come with free treats from local eateries.
This year, rapper Drake has decided that October 24, which is his birthday, should be a national food holiday too, and that means free hot chicken sliders for all who want them. Itās his birthday and he can give out free chicken if he wants to! To do so, heās teaming up with none other than the popular Nashville-style hot chicken chain Daveās Hot Chicken.
This is the second year in a row that Drake, who is also an investor in the chain, is celebrating with worldwide hot chicken freebies. So if you participated last year, you know the drill. But if youāre new to the game, check out the details on how to snag your free slider below.
āWeāre collaborating with @champagnepapi to celebrate his birthday⦠AGAIN,ā Daveās wrote on Instagram. āAND giving EVERYBODY a SLIDER on USā¼ US: Download the Daveās app swing by any #daveshotchicken location on Tuesday, 10/24 and scan app at the register to check-in and get your slider.ā

Itās as simple as that: if youāre in the United States, youāll need to download the Daveās app and scan it at the register to get your free slider. If youāre in Canada, you can get a free slider too, no app requiredājust show that youāre following Daveās Hot Chicken on Instagram or TikTok. Fans are limited to one slider per person, and the promo is going on from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. local time at locations all across America, Canada, and even the Middle East (see the full list of participating locations here.)
The chain was founded by childhood friends Chef Dave Kopushyan, Arman Oganesyan, and Tommy Rubenyan back in 2017 with nothing but some portable fryers and a folding table in a parking lot in Los Angeles. But Drake, whoās turning 37, isnāt the only celeb fan of Daveās Hot Chicken. Maria Shriver, Samuel L. Jackson, and Michael Strahan have all invested in the brand and the rapidly expanding chain has quickly become beloved for its hot chicken tenders and sliders, fries, coleslaw, macaroni and cheese, and milkshakes.
Oh, and donāt be fooled by the name. While a typical āsliderā is a bite-size amuse-bouche version of a regular burger, Daveās Hot Chicken sliders are full-size sammies featuring a spiced-to-order chicken tender (levels range from No Spice to Reaper, the latter of which requires a signed waiver before you dig in), kale slaw, pickles, and sauce on a pillowy potato bun. Just typing that out has us craving some juicy, crispy chickenāso weāll see you in line at the nearest Daveās tomorrow at 11 a.m. sharp. Happy birthday, Drake! And thanks for the free lunch.
