This Beloved Southern Chain Has Launched Two New Fast-Food Brands

The creative menus include iconic staples and trendy additions.

Popular dine-in chain O'Charley's has been busy during the pandemic. The brand was luckily already ahead of the game when COVID-19 struck, having kicked off an online ordering platform and curbside pickup in 2018. The investment paid off—the chain's off-premise business increased five-fold when guests couldn't frequent the dining rooms. In order to offer up even more attractive options to its fans, the chain has now launched two brand new virtual fast-food brands, which come from existing O'Charley's kitchens but offer up brand new menu items alongside their greatest hits.

7 New Fast-Food Chains You Can Only Find Online

The first concept highlights one of the things that O'Charley's says they do best—chicken tenders. Chicken has been exploding in popularity in the past year with a growing number of companies jumping aboard. But to make the new Coop & Run menu feel more exciting and separate from their dine-in offering, O'Charley's spruced things up with an array of dipping sauces, like Carolina Gold BBQ, Mango Habanero, Honey Boom Boom, and Sweet Teriyaki. Another novelty on the menu? Tater tots, which aren't on O'Charley's regular menu and also come fully loaded with sauces and toppings.

Dockside Charlie's is the chain's second virtual creation and features a seafood-focused menu brimming with shrimp, salmon, and cod, which are added to pasta, salads, sandwiches, and platters. Two new desserts—Saucy Brownie Bites and Key Lime Pie—round out the craveable experience.

But the chain isn't stopping there, and are currently working on a third concept which will center on burgers that are "huge, multi-layered" and have "all kinds of crazy stuff on them," according to CEO Craig Barber. The burger brand will launch soon, and the chain plans to add all three new menus to 145 of their 152 restaurants nationwide, where customers will be able to order them for pickup or delivery.
