Costco Is Opening New Locations In These States

Members in 8 states are about to have a new warehouse to shop at.

There are over 100 million Costco members around the world, with almost 600 locations of the beloved warehouse chain in the U.S. alone. Now, as Costco relaxes pandemic rules and returns to normal, there will be a few new locations joining the list.

Costco conveniently lists the new locations coming soon on its website, and there are currently seven that are set to open in the next two months.

New warehouses will open in these locations in July:

  • Murfreesboro, Tenn.
  • Little Rock, Ark.
  • Moore, Okla.
  • Moriyama outside of Kyoto in Japan

New warehouses will open in these locations in August:

  • Springfield, Mo.
  • Naperville, Ill.
  • Lake Macquarie, New South Wales in Australia

There are also plans to add Costco stores to Clermont, Fla., Stuart, Fla., Fresno, Calif., and Cincinnati, Ohio. These aren't listed on Costco's website, so they don't have opening dates yet.

Right now, the chain is offering a deal for new members who sign up at the Murfreesboro opening on July 20: get a $10 Costco Shop Card for joining as a Gold Star Member or a $20 card for joining as an Executive Member.

The Little Rock warehouse will be Costco's first in Arkansas and will be 165,000 square feet. Arkansas Business says it will open on July 21.

The new Springfield, Mo. location is currently hiring 150-200 employees and will have its grand opening on August 18, according to local news station KY3. There's no word yet on whether there is a signup deal going on for that location.
