Taco Bell Is Unveiling This Highly Exclusive Dessert Today

It's a product of the chain's collaboration with a famed dessert company.

America's favorite Tex-Mex brand is launching a new summer dessert that's been designed to leave fans wanting more.

Taco Bell is unveiling a new partnership with famed dessert company Milk Bar today, the product of which is a brand new dessert truffle that's been years in the making. The Strawberry Bell Truffle is as cute as it sounds—a combo of Taco Bell's Crunchy Taco shell and Milk Bar's beloved truffles, it's a bite-sized mini cake that features the best of both brands.

You'll get everything you could ever want in a dessert in just one bite: a center filled with smooth fudge with sweet corn flavor, a layer of moist vanilla cake that's been soaked in strawberry milk, and a crunchy outer coating that's sweet and a tiny bit salty.

Unfortunately, this dreamy concoction will be tested for a limited time at only one Taco Bell and two of Milk Bar's flagship locations. Starting today and until August 16, customers can try the truffle at Taco Bell's Orange County restaurant located at 14042 Red Hill Avenue, and Milk Bar's locations in the Nomad neighborhood of New York City and on Melrose in Los Angeles.

"The Strawberry Bell Truffle is the first mashup of its kind to be served to consumers on a large, test scale from our brands. This one-of-a-kind truffle is the friendship-fueled fruition of a concept made possible by a mutual dedication to innovation," said Rene Pisciotti, executive chef at Taco Bell Corp. "Christina Tosi and her culinary team worked closely with experts within Taco Bell's very own Test Kitchen on this collaboration, and we couldn't think of better partners to learn from and team up with."

This isn't the first collaboration between Milk Bar and the fast-food chain—the duo presented Dessert Nachos at a closed-door industry event in 2018—but it is the first time that customers get to try the fruits of that labor. And while this limited test makes the dessert very exclusive, the brands are leaving the doors wide open to future mashups.
