KFC Is Adding 5 Exciting New Items To the Menu

Including a new wrap and a new family-sized dessert.

You may already love KFC for all its offerings, but that doesn't mean that the fast-food chain isn't eager to introduce you to new options. And this month is particularly exciting at KFC with not one but five new additions to the menu.

There's great news for fans of KFC's wraps because they're making a comeback as a permanent menu item. Starting on November 12, you'll be able to order the Classic Chicken Wrap which offers you a hand-breaded Extra Crispy tender, pickles, and mayo on a warm tortilla. You'll also be able to pick up the Spicy Slaw Chicken Wrap, which includes an Extra Crispy tender along with coleslaw, pickles, and spicy sauce.

If you're in the mood for something different, then KFC is also launching a brand new Mac & Cheese Wrap which will have the same Extra Crispy fried chicken tender but will be served in a tortilla with cheddar mac and cheese as well as a dusting of three-cheese blend. A duo of wraps will cost $5 or can be ordered as a combo that includes two wraps, a medium drink, and an individual serving of Secret Recipe Fries for $8.49. Prices may vary in Alaska and Hawaii.

KFC Is Falling Out of Favor With Customers—Here's Why

"Since we introduced KFC Wraps earlier this year, others have followed with their versions—but why go to a burger chain for a fried chicken wrap, when you can get a craveable wrap with KFC's world-famous fried chicken?" said Nick Chavez, KFC's chief marketing officer, in a statement. "Our KFC Wrap lineup offers more variety with three finger lickin' good flavors, at the same incredible value of 2 for $5. Mark your calendars for November 12th!"

Also landing on menus on November 12 is the new Colonel's Homestyle Brownie. This family-sized treat can be added to a bucket meal for just $5 ($6.99 à la carte) or to the $20 Fill-Up Box.

But wait, there's more! KFC is also testing a menu item that might become your new go-to order. If you're in the Cincinnati area, you can now try new Original Recipe chicken tenders with dipping sauce and a biscuit for just $5. Or, you can order them with KFC's $20 Fill Up Box, which comes with four Original Recipe tenders, four pieces of fried chicken, four dipping sauces, fries, and four biscuits.

Slightly different from the tenders you can currently find at KFC, the new version relies on the Original Recipe breading system as opposed to the Extra Crispy system. This is a change from the past when the Original Recipe system was only used for chicken on the bone.

"We're now shifting some of our boneless items into the Original Recipe breading system and this (test) is our newest product," Claire Brandenburg, KFC's product innovation manager, said during a media event. "And, instead of putting them in a fryer, like we do our current tenders, we fry them under pressure, which helps deliver a juicier product, but with the crispy exterior still."
