7 New Menu Items Friendly's Is Releasing This Spring
Last year was a tumultuous one for the family dine-in restaurant Friendly's, whose legacy spans more than 80 years. The company declared bankruptcy but was luckily bought out of it by Amici Partners Group, signaling a fresh start for the chain best known for its ice cream and burgers.
Not only does Friendly's live on with all its 130 restaurant locations intact, but it's also ready to get back in the saddle with a handful of new menu items. From March 15 through June 6, you'll be able to order six new Fan Favorite mains as well as a new sundae flavor. The chain is offering a Fan Favorite bundle for $11.99 plus tax, which will include one of these dishes plus any sundae of your choice.

Heinz 57 Burger
This burger features a juicy beef patty stacked with all the classic fixin's: Swiss cheese, crisp lettuce, tomato, mayo, and a generous layer of crispy fronions. Last but not least, it's topped with Heinz's 57 sauce for a spicy kick.
Vermonter Burger
The Vermonter is made with melted sharp white cheddar over a juicy beef patty, crispy maple pepper bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo, served on a golden-brown ciabatta roll.
Hot Honey SuperMelt
Stuffed with crispy chicken tenders drenched in a hot honey glaze, melty Cheddar, pickle chips, and coleslaw, the Hot Honey SuperMelt is served on golden toasted sourdough bread.
Maple Pepper Bacon SuperMelt
This is a melt-in-your-mouth combination of sweet, spicy, and savory, which includes maple pepper bacon layered atop turkey, sharp white cheddar, and honey mustard, served on golden toasted sourdough bread.
Buffalo Chicken Entrée Salad
Two new salads are making their way to the menu this spring. The buffalo chicken salad features juicy-on-the-inside, crispy-on-the-outside Buffalo chicken tenders, celery, green peppers, red onion, and shredded monterey jack and cheddar, all atop a bed of leafy greens. It's finished off with a side of Buffalo bleu cheese dressing.
Asian Chicken Entrée Salad
It's easy to see why this salad is a customer favorite. Grilled chicken is coated with a flavorful ginger glaze and combined with mandarin oranges for some tang, plus almond slices and wonton strips for a crunchy bite—all served atop a bed of greens tossed in a simple ginger dressing.
Superman Sundae
Friendly's wouldn't be what it is without its myriad of sundae flavors. While the company announced several innovations in that department, they are kicking things off with the new Superman Sundae. It's a swirl of red, yellow, and blue fruit punch flavored ice cream, topped with classic sundae fixin's.
