Trader Joe's Is Opening New Locations in These 4 Cities

The beloved grocery chain continues to expand.

With 558 locations all over the United States, Trader Joe's has made its mark on the grocery space, drawing customers in with unique products, affordable prices, and famously friendly employees. And the cult-favorite grocery chain is showing no signs of slowing down.

As confirmed on its website, Trader Joe's will be expanding its location portfolio with new stores slated to open from coast to coast.

In the Mid-Atlantic region, the grocer will be opening its 10th Maryland location in College Park, which will also be the first Trader Joe's to hit Prince George County. Located at 4429 Calvert Road, the new store will open on Oct. 27 at 8 a.m following a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The 11,000-square-foot grocery store, which is adjacent to the University of Maryland, will feature murals of the college's buildings and football stadium, as well as the College Park airport. While Trader Joe's has hired more than 100 employees to work at the new location, The Hyattsville Wire reported that the store is still looking to hire more crew members, with positions posted online here.

On the west coast, Utah will be receiving its fourth Trader Joe's in Draper. Rumors about the opening began circulating on Reddit one month ago, with a few users reporting that crew members at their local stores told them about the news.

However, nothing was official until Oct. 14 when Troy K. Walker, the mayor of Draper, Utah, confirmed the opening in a Facebook post. The Draper store, located 1149 State Street, is expected to open its doors in early 2023, with Walker writing that "more details will be shared soon."

Heading even further west, Trader Joe's confirmed at the end of August that it will be opening its 10th Oregon location at 16200 S.W. Pacific Highway in Tigard. While Nakia Rohde, Trader Joe's public relations manager, said the company doesn't have a timeline to share, the grocery chain plans to open up the Tigard location later in 2022.

Rounding up the lineup of upcoming openings is a store coming to Providence, R.I. According to WPRI, Trader Joe's shared in early August that a store will be opening at 425 South Main Street, though no additional details have been provided. Rhode Island currently has only one Trader Joe's, which is located on Bald Hill Road in Warwick.
