McDonald’s is Now Selling The Best Part of the Muffin
In efforts to get early birds (or late owls) excited for b’fast again, McDonald’s is revamping its All-Day Breakfast menu. In addition to adding beloved cold brew to the mix, the fast food giant is really heating things up by offering the best part of the muffin—the top.
“We continue to look at ways to offer new breakfast menu items and experiences at the compelling value of McDonald’s. This includes our commitment to coffee, and continuing to give customers more tastes and choices from McCafé,” a representative for McDonald’s said in a statement obtained by Fox News.
The stump-free muffins will soon be available nationwide in three flavors: Double Chocolate, Blueberry, and Lemon Poppy Seed. And while these flavors sound super agreeable, the concept isn’t so. Selling sole muffin tops was an idea originated by Seinfeld writer Spike Feresten—who wrote the episode in which Elaine opened a bakery devoted to selling muffin tops—and now wants a chunk of McDonald’s profits, according to a TMZ video.
There’s no word on whether the chain plans to credit Feresten; however, we did stumble upon something as arguably piquing: the new offerings’ nutritionals.
Lemon Poppy Seed
