Brie Larson crushes kettlebell windmills in her latest workout
Larson shared the post with her 7M Instagram followers. She's in a black sports bra and leggings and is stretching down to one side while lifting the kettlebell straight up to a vertical position with her other arm to complete the kettlebell windmill. If you're unfamiliar with this exercise, it really strengthens the core and enhances shoulder stability. MasterClass recommends starting out with 2 to 3 sets of 3 to 6 reps for each side but stresses choosing the right weight, sets, and reps you're most comfortable with in order to practice good form.
Larson makes the movement look so seamless. She paired her post with the caption, "POV you're @risemovement telekinetically controlling my stability via Zoom." The video generated much motivation from fans, with comments like, "You're an inspiration Brie," "Go #captainmarvel! (muscle emojis)," "Thanks Brie, I started training again thanks to you. What else does Captain Marvel do in her spare time? Well, it appears she works out pretty often, giving fans sneak peeks into her workout sessions on the 'gram. Whether it's tackling the rowing machine, doing leg pullups, pushups with chains, one-arm pushups, squats, lifting—and the list goes on—it's no secret Larson is in top shape.
She really revved up her workout for the role of Captain Marvel
The 32-year-old actress told Insider, "It's an incredible experience to realize what's inside of you is well beyond what you knew was possible." For the role of Captain Marvel, she really revved up her workout. In fact, she was not able to "walk up a hill without being out of breath" and worked her way up to performing 400-pound hip thrusts and 200-pound deadlifts, in addition to pushing her personal trainer's Jeep.
Larson shares some pretty sound advice, telling the outlet, "When people say like, 'Oh, girls can't do that,' it just makes me wanna do it even more. So there were huge accomplishments this time and I just feel like my body's just getting more and more used to this and more and more excited. Now, it feels weird to not train. I look forward to it."
