5 Items Disappearing From Costco Right Now

You may not be able to get these products at your local warehouse.
FACT CHECKED BY Joseph Neese

There are nearly 4,000 items at any given Costco store, so it may understandably be hard to find everything on your shopping list. Though lots of products are finally coming back to warehouses, others are currently disappearing.

Whether it's the change of another season or rising demand, the items on this list are hard to find right now. Tou should try to avoid other items at the warehouse altogether—even if they're in stock. Here are the Costco Foods You Should Always Avoid, According to Nutritionists.

Costco fans on Reddit are searching high and low for Mexican Coca-Cola, which has real cane sugar. One person said they've been looking for the soda for months in Columbus, Ohio. Another user, who identifies as a Coca-Cola employee and a Costco member, commented that there were supply issues "from time to time" and the Mexican version of the soda "has been in and out for several months now."

Costco shoppers know the infamous "death star" that appears on price tags is a bad sign. Though it's not universe exploding, it's not great, either. The asterisks mean that a product won't be restocked once the current supply runs out, and one Costco Instagram account spotted them on the tags of 2+ pound bags of Lavazza Espresso Italiano Whole Bean Coffee.

The location where @costcohotfinds spotted the "death star" appears to still have quite a few bags, but it's only a matter of time before they're gone for good. However, when one door closes another opens. The warehouse just started selling this popular coffee maker—and it comes with free coffee, too!

This popular gaming console is disappearing at more stores than just Costco, where it initially sold out in November. And these systems still move quickly when Costco has them available, according to Reddit users. "I literally can't get one," one person said. "Been trying since launch."

Costco's bundle deal includes the PlayStation 5 gaming console, an additional DualSense Wireless COntroller, Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Launch Edition, and a one-month PlayStation Now Membership—all for $639.99.

Some Soups

If you've got your eye on a specific soup right now, you may end up leaving the warehouse empty-handed. One Reddit user reported trying to find frozen French Onion Soup "in the New Jersey stores for months" but "was finally told last weekend that 'it's a seasonal item!'" In response, a commenter said many soups make their debut at Costco every fall and winter but start disappearing by the time January rolls around.

You've probably lost your keys, wallet, or phone more times than you'd like to admit, but Apple's newest innovation can help you out. Apple AirTags are small, circular tracking devices that you can attach to anything and follow via your iPhone. In typical Costco fashion, there was a 4-pack recently on sale for $94.99—until it sold out. One Reddit user said you shouldn't expect them to be restocked for a while, either.
