This Is Sandra Bullock's Exact Diet and Exercise Routine

The star’s system for staying in shape.

If you've seen "The Lost City," or even just the trailer for it, then you know: Sandra Bullock looks beautiful. Something about the way she is sprinting across the screen in an undeniably athletic way, all while wearing purple sequins, is just flat-out impressive.

In some ways, it's no surprise. From "Miss Congeniality" to "The Proposal" to "The Blind Side," Bullock always appears polished and in perfect shape. In "Ocean's Eight," when she starred as a heist ringleader, we even got a bit of a feel for her physicality. But her newest blockbuster, which Bullock says is her last for a while, seems to have demanded a new level of fitness.

Alongside heartthrob Channing Tatum, Bullock broke out all the stops in training to play her author-turned-adventurer character. By the time they hit the film's press tour, her washboard abs started getting major attention. How did she stay in such good shape? We rounded up a few of Bullock's iconic diet and exercise hacks.

She practices portion control.

Bullock has used meal delivery services in the past to help keep herself on track. She favors a daily LA-based fresh food delivery service that provides gluten-free and sugar-free food, helps with portion control for meals, and includes options like free-range turkey and hormone-free chicken.

But she isn't gluten and sugar-free all the time.

In a Q&A, Bullock outlined how she is able to stay in shape while still enjoying her favorite foods: she observes the practice of having a weekly "cheat day."

"I start Friday night and I end Saturday night," she told InStyle. This allows her to indulge in whatever she wants for 24 hours, including, for example, "dark chocolate with bacon in it."

She works out as much as possible.

The one cheat day per week could hardly matter when you consider how often Bullock is in the gym.

"If I can work out every day, I will," she said.

Her aerobics of choice? Pilates, kickboxing, running, or biking. And, of course, she weight trains on a regular schedule.

She loves a very specific dance class.

Bullock isn't just a workout-a-holic; she has fun with her fitness routine. In addition to the pilates, kickboxing, running, and biking, she is also apparently a regular at celebrity trainer Simone De La Rue's famous Body By Simone dance-cardio training.

"She puts in an hour a day, six times a week," De La Rue told Radar. "She is extremely motivated and driven."

And she loves green tea.

At the end of the day, sometimes the simple habits are what can solidify a diet and exercise routine. For Bullock, that comes back to green tea. She "loves" the drink, even naming it as her go-to over coffee. For all of the benefits of green tea, refer to our research on the miracle substance.
