Krispy Kreme Brings Back Conversation Heart Donuts Just in Time for Valentine's Day

Krispy Kreme just brought back the most endearing donut: one that's inspired after the candy that's most representative of Valentine's Day, the candy conversation heart.
Starting today, you can slip one of these heart-shaped, pastel-colored donuts embellished with a sweet little message on its surface to your sweetheart. Adorned with modern sweet little nothings like, "ILYSM" or "CRAZY 4 U" "BE MINE" and of course, "BAE" it's going to be hard to not—at the very least—get your lover to crack a smile.

Also, wouldn't you prefer to get one of these fluffy treats over a hard candy? It just seems more considerate to gift the person you admire most a treat that won't crack their teeth and taste like chalky TUMS. Not only is the outside of the donut irresistibly adorable, but the inside is also just as delicious. Each one is stuffed packed with one of four flavors: cake batter, strawberry and kreme, original kreme, and chocolate kreme.
Warning: you may be tempted to pick up two dozen of these donuts at your local Krispy Kreme. Why? There are 24 different phrases printed on these sweet treats! If you're lucky, you may just get one of each!
These sweet donuts won't be around for long, though. You have until Friday, Feb. 14 to sink your teeth into one of these sweet treats. So, are you curious to know how they taste?
Well, if it's any indication, our office was obsessed with the donuts. We didn't get to try the strawberry and kreme flavor, but we did sample the chocolate, original kreme, and cake batter flavors. The fondant on the top of the donuts was slightly chewy while also perfectly smooth. Here's a sneak peek at what's inside the box.

The cake batter filling had both a similar flavor and thick texture as the custard you might find in a Boston cream donut. The filling has more of an off white, almost yellow-tinted color, whereas the original kreme has a fluffier, lighter consistency and is a more prominent white.

The chocolate filling was absolutely delicious and may have been the office favorite. But you can't ever really go wrong when you're enjoying some Krispy Kreme, can you?
