Kate Hudson is all about the sled push

This powerhouse recently took to Instagram to post a video of herself doing an intense sled push. The clip reads, "Distraction procrastination. We call this #the hudsonsled." The celeb captioned her post with a witty, "Get it done however you know how… #thehudsonsled," and tagged her trainer Brian Nguyen, who re-posted the video.

Nguyen is likely who we hear cheering Hudson on in the background, saying, "It's important to do mobility between each set … Come on girl, come on. Push forward! Push forward! Push forward!"

He recently revealed via SHAPE that the duo focuses on the basics during their workout sessions. "We live and die by the basics. We do squats, lunges, deadlifts, single-leg balance work, sprints, sled pushes/pulls—we are doing the strength work that athletes do," Nguyen says.

The sled push (also called the prowler push) Hudson performs in her recent video is an amazing workout. It's a combination of cardio and strength training all in one.

Forty-three-year-old Kate Hudson tells PEOPLE she likes to challenge herself with a good amount of variety when it comes to working out. "I like to be able to set new goals to see what I can accomplish, and I love how flexible and strong I feel after a good workout, especially doing Pilates, which never gets easier." She adds, "I need to be moving to feel good. Even just making time for a little movement [every day]—going for a walk, doing a few minutes on the treadmill, some Pilates, or if I have more time for it, I love hot yoga."

According to Nguyen, Kate doesn't shy away from working with heavy weights, either. "Kate's not afraid of heavy weights—the weight needs to be heavy enough where her integrity does fall and she has to regain that control. I don't think we do anything so special, but mastering the basics allows her to play with speed, a heavier load, and instability," he tells SHAPE.

As for food and drink? Hudson enjoys both, explaining that she eats and drinks in moderation. She tells PEOPLE, "I have never been an extremist. I love food. And I love a good cocktail," adding, "I stay mindful of what I put in my body and remember that it's OK to enjoy yourself; WW emphasizes that living a healthy life doesn't mean feeling deprived."

When she wakes up, Hudson kicks off the morning with a cup of joe, the star recently told Eat This, Not That! She sometimes follows that up with a fresh glass of celery juice later on. "Breakfast is one of my favorite meals. I love soft boiled eggs with turkey bacon or an egg white scramble with spinach and sausage," she says.
