These Were the Most Ordered Chick-fil-A Items in 2021
Chick-fil-A is one of the most beloved fast-food chains in America. And when most people think of the popular restaurant, they're usually dreaming of the chain's flagship chicken sandwich, with its breaded boneless chicken breast, dill pickle chips, and toasted buttered bun (you know, the one that consistently ranks as one of the best chicken sandwiches in the industry.) But the chain recently revealed its most popular menu items in 2021, and where the sandwich lands on that list may surprise you.
According to Chick-fil-A's blog, the Chicken Sandwich was only the third most ordered item in most regions of America in 2021, and in some, it trailed even farther from the top spot. Instead, the most popular Chick-fil-A menu item in all parts of the country, based on the volume of orders placed, is Waffle Potato Fries.
The second most-often ordered item is simply a soft drink, and that's not including the sweet iced tea or lemonade for which the restaurant is known.
In third place by order volume in the Southeast and the Atlantic regions is the Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich. However, the Chicken Nuggets came in third in the Northeast, Midwest, West, and Southwest, beating out the sandwich by order frequency.
Other items that found themselves among regional favorites are the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Hash Browns, Chick-n-Minis, and Mac & Cheese. When it comes to beverages, the Sweet Iced Tea and Lemonade were particularly popular.
