Dunkin’ Is the Major Chain With the Best-Rated Coffee in America
If you’re a regular at Dunkin’, you’re in good company—it’s the best coffee chain in the country, apparently. According to Harris Poll data, Krispy Kreme and Dunkin’ Donuts are tied for first place as the United States’ favorite coffee destination. (America really does run on Dunkin’ after all!)
When polling people across the country, the Harris Poll’s EquiTrend Brand Equity Index asks consumers to take three factors into account. Those are “familiarity, quality, and purchase consideration.” And in the coffee shop category, Krispy Kreme and Dunkin’ Donuts rated highest for those factors among the more than 45,000 survey respondents.
However, Dunkin’ was a major winner in another category, too, which made us think it was the top pick in America. Among the options for packaged coffee, those surveyed also listed Dunkin’ as their favorite at-home brand. Whether fans are brewing a hot cup of joe at home or stopping in for a flavored iced latte at an actual coffee shop, it looks like people can’t get enough of Dunkin’s coffee options.
What are Dunkin’s coffee options?
The Dunkin’ Donuts menu is pretty extensive, with plenty of flavors and varieties for every coffee lover. Whether you want a plain cup of hot coffee, an iced macchiato, or even a frozen coffee, Dunkin’ has you covered.
Dunkin’s newest flavor offerings include drinks inspired by Hershey’s candy. If you go to the chain this summer, you can add Heath or Hershey’s Cookies ‘N’ Creme flavor to your hot or iced coffee drink.
What about the coffee at Krispy Kreme?
Like Dunkin’, Krispy Kreme has plenty of decadent coffee options. Pop by the donut chain, and you can get specialty drinks like a caramel mocha latte, a frozen mocha, or an iced hazelnut latte.
Unlike their competitor, though, Krispy Kreme doesn’t have cold brew. So if you’re partial to cold brew instead of iced coffee, Dunkin’ might be a better bet.
At the end of the day, whether you choose to visit Krispy Kreme or Dunkin’ Donuts is totally up to you. Both of them have tried-and-true coffee options that have won fans’ hearts. However, given that Dunkin’ also had the top-rated at-home brand, we’ve got to crown Dunkin’ as America’s true favorite coffee. And if you want to add on a donut to your order, well, there’s a lot more variety than what you’d find at a traditional coffee shop, too.
