Chobani Just Invented a New Condiment—and You Need to Try It

The brand’s newest high-protein product, Chobani Savor, is concocted with just two non-GMO ingredients, cultured milk and cream, and serves as a smart swap for fat- and calorie-laden sour cream. The squeezable pouch contains 50 percent fewer calories, 75 percent less fat, and twice the amount of protein per serving than most traditional sour creams!
Depending on your taste preferences, the yogurt giant offers two options: Low-Fat Plain, which is made with 2 percent milk, and Whole Milk Plain, which is crafted with 5 percent milkfat.
Choose the lower fat option and you’ll find 20 calories, a half gram of fat, one gram of carbs, and 3 grams of protein per two tablespoons while the whole milk option boasts just 30 calories, 1.5 grams of fat, one gram of carbs, and 3 grams of protein. Compare that to Breakstone’s All Natural Sour Cream, which packs in a whopping 60 calories, 6 grams of fat, and just one gram of protein per two tablespoons.
While a difference of 30 to 40 calories doesn’t sound too hefty at first glance, condiment calories add up because we’re often guilty of dolloping more than the suggested serving size.
