There are so many benefits of exercising on a treadmill

A treadmill workout is extraordinary aerobic exercise, resulting in incredible health benefits. In fact, Livestrong notes that by using an incline during a treadmill walk, you'll conveniently reap the benefits of walking up a hill without stepping foot outside (which is perfect for bad weather days).
Additionally, a consistent walking or running routine on a treadmill can help you sleep better, boost your mood, strengthen your bones, control insulin levels for diabetics, circulate your blood for great heart health, and so much more. The amazing thing about a treadmill is you can switch things up in so many ways by altering the speed, incline, and even using weights when your cardio day is feeling mundane.
We spoke with Jacquie Smith, certified integrative nutrition health coach from IIN and a fitness instructor specializing in barre, yoga, and pre/postnatal workouts about the 12-3-30 benefits. She explains this low-impact workout is specifically good for giving your cardiovascular health a boost and building lower body strength and endurance. Smith does note, "While cardio workouts like running and walking can aid in burning belly fat, you also need to include strength training workouts like barre into your exercise routine. The key to burning belly fat is varying your workouts and eating real, plant-based foods on a regular basis."
