This Is the Most Popular Trader Joe's Item Right Now

It's the grocery store's most sought after product nationwide, edging out macarons and Everything But the Bagel seasoning.

The most popular item currently sold at beloved grocery chain Trader Joe's is surprisingly not a holiday food or limited-edition special. In fact, it's Trader Joe's Sweet Chili Sauce, described as their "authentic take on the sweet-hot blend of chilies and garlic used in kitchens across Thailand." The sauce sells for less than $2 per bottle, and based on new data compiled by customer service software company Workwise, it's the most-searched-for TJ's product in many parts of the United States.

This year, the Sweet Chili Sauce was the most popular item in many southern states, including Kentucky, Louisiana, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia. But its popularity was hardly regional, with it topping the list in Oklahoma, Nebraska, and other states as well.

While overall the most frequently sought out product from Trader Joe's in 2020, the sweet and spicy sauce was not a head-and-shoulders winner of the grocery chain's popularity contest. In states ranging from Arizona to Illinois and New Jersey, Trader Joe's Everything But the Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend was the clear winner. In other states, the brand's A Dozen Macarons Variés, which is a box of French-inspired macarons, was the most popular product.

Trader Joe's Key Lime pie was the top searched food in Florida, South Carolina, North Dakota, Mississippi, while the Kung Pao Chicken, Spanakopita, and Vegan Banana Bread were also popular in several states, according to Workwise's national search data. As far as we're concerned, we like to think these items are the best at Trader Joe's.
