But there are some fast-food burgers that are truly just dangerous, as they are super high in calories.

So which truly are the worst fast-food burgers when you're solely looking at calories?

Well, we rounded up all the fast-food burgers that clock in at more than 1,000 calories. Think about it: most people, on average, consume 2,000 calories per day. So if one part of one meal is more than a day's worth of calories, it's very easy to go over that caloric limit. That's why we're rounding up the worst fast-food burgers that are shockingly high in calories, ranked from bad to the absolute biggest offender.

You might actually be surprised to find that there aren't any burgers from McDonald's on this list. Surprisingly, all of the burgers from Mickey D's are under 1,000 calories. The biggest culprit is the Double Quarter-Pounder with Cheese, as it has 740 calories. That's still scarily high, but not high enough to make it on this list.

West-coast favorite In-N-Out is known for its legendary secret menu, and that's where you'll find the 4×4 burger. It's made up of four burger patties that create a burger that is just over 1,000 calories. Not to mention it's also high in fat, saturated fat, and sodium.

Culver's is serving up a true triple whammy with this burger. It's made up of the chain's signature ButterBurger patties that are topped with two strips of bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, sweet red onion, and mayo, all sandwiched between a lightly buttered, toasted bun. The amount of saturated fat here is simply scary, as the American Heart Association suggests the average person should consume just 13 grams per day in order to promote good heart health.

Wendy's Big Bacon Classic Triple

This order from Wendy's serves up three beef patties that are topped with Applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, ketchup, mayo, and onion on a toasted bun. Although it's described as "It's big. It's classic. It's got bacon," this burger is no innocent menu option coming in at 1,220 calories. For reference, the Jr. Hamburger clocks in at only 250 calories…

Burger King Triple Whopper with Cheese

Smashburger strikes again, this time with its Double Pulled Porl Tailgater. This burger is made up of two patties that are covered in aged Swiss cheese, smoked pulled pork, caramelized onions, and spicy mustard, between pretzel buns. As you can imagine, it's a monster, clocking in at 1,300 calories and has as much sodium as you would get from 25 pretzel rods.

At Burger King, two quarter-pound flame-grilled beef patties are topped with thick-cut smoked bacon, four slices of cheddar cheese, ketchup, and mayonnaise to make up the Bacon King. It shouldn't really come as much of a surprise as to why this burger is so high in calories, fat, and sodium.

The Bacon Jalapeño Cheeseburger Triple is hand-down the worst burger option at Wendy's. It's clearly big, that's for sure. It's made up of three Wendy's iconic square beef patties that are topped with pickled jalapeños, Applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, crispy fried onions, a savory cheese sauce, and a smoky jalapeño sauce. Along with the 1,330 calories it's serving up, the burger is also packing 95 grams of fat and 4.5 grams of heart-harming trans fat.

So what's on it? Well, it's a Shake Shack cheeseburger that features a griddled jalapeño cheese sausage link, along with the signature ShackSauce and pickles.

Carl's Jr Triple Western Bacon Cheeseburger

This burger from Hardee's is made up of two 1/3 pound charbroiled beef patties, four strips of bacon, three slices of American cheese, and mayonnaise. All of these elements come together for a burger that is packing 1,400 calories. Plus, it has more than 2,700 milligrams of sodium and The American Heart Association recommends a person should consume no more than 2,300 milligrams in an entire day.

Carl's Jr Spicy Western Double Cheeseburger

Carl's Jr strikes again! This burger might only consist of two charbroiled all-beef patties, unlike the previous burger which was packing three patties, but it contains all the same elements as its predecessor. Except there are some additions, such as the two slices of melted Pepper Jack cheese and jalapeño, which ramps up the calories, fat, and sodium. If you ate three of the regular Carl's Jr double cheeseburgers, you would still consume fewer calories than this one burger, as those are only 380 calories each.

This burger is a fairly new addition to the Wendy's menu, and it's already memorable. For all the wrong reasons, that is! It's made up of three Wendy's' patties that are covered in warm beer cheese sauce, Applewood smoked bacon, smoky honey mustard, crispy fried onions, pickles, and a slice of muenster cheese, all on a soft pretzel bun. This all makes for a burger that has the most amount of calories out of all the burgers on the menu.

Now this burger is truly scary! At Steak 'n Shake, the 7×7 Steakburger stacks seven patties that alternate with seven slices of American cheese in between bun slices. How do you even eat this guy?!

Besides the perplexity of taking on such a huge burger, it's important to note that the 1,660 calories it contains are alarming, but the amount of fat and trans fat here is just as astronomically high.

Everything about this burger is just extra and over-the-top—it's no wonder it takes the top spot!
