It all started when a video of a Minnesota-based pizzeria's signature "Big Dill" pizza went viral on Facebook, garnering more than 16 million views. The pie in question was made with garlic dill sauce and topped with slices of smoked Canadian bacon and two layers of fresh pickles, plus a generous sprinkling of dill. Not everyone was a fan—in fact, Gordon Ramsay just couldn't give this pie his seal of approval. However, it was so popular that many other pizzerias have since come up with their own copycat versions.

While you can certainly imitate this cult favorite pie at home, there are so many other creative ways to incorporate pickles into your pizza.
