Follow the 3-4-5 Rule For Fast Weight Loss
We’re just going to come right out and say it: trying to lose weight can be plain awful. And that’s because most diet plans call for tiny portions and super-human willpower—two things that leave the majority of us super hangry (hungry + angry = hangry). If that sounds familiar, you’re definitely not alone. It’s actually the main reason we developed the 3-4-5 rule! It’s not a diet or a cleanse, but it’s a slim down strategy so effective we think it may be one of our best weight loss tips yet. Get all the details here!
Pregame Your Meals With a Salad
Leafy greens are both high in fiber and water volume while being low in calories, which can help you get a handle on your appetite. Not to mention, greens like kale, arugula, and watercress all contain a compound called sulforaphane. This micronutrient has been found to act directly on the genes that determine “adipocyte differentiation”—that means, they can divert a stem cell from turning into a fat cell. A healthier intake of the compound means a lower body weight for you. For more ways to lose 7 pounds in 7 days, check out the full report
Consider Metabolic Conditioning
Metcon (aka Metabolic conditioning) is the ultimate way to train both hard and smart. “Metcon is a way of training that both builds a lean body and keeps that metabolism roaring throughout the day; even when you stop working out,” says Noah Neiman, co-founder of Rumble-Boxing in New York City. That means that, even when you’re watching TV and noshing on your protein-filled sandwich post workout, you’ll be burning calories.
An example of a Metcon training circuit would be to do burpees, jump squats, jumping lunges, and rows for 30 seconds each—at a high intensity—followed by a 30-second break; you repeat the circuit five times. Have Some Bubbly
“I’ve always been a big believer in balance: Train hard, work hard and live hard—and sometimes that involves a bit of bubbly, personal trainer Dan Roberts tells us. “Indulging once and while in a bit of something that’s bad for your health is often extremely good for the soul!” And not to mention, bubbly is often far lower in calories than a cocktail or a glass of wine.
