Hear us out! Guys that follow a vegetarian diet may actually be perceived as more masculine and attractive to women, say Charles University researchers. To come to this finding, the scientists had a group of college guys follow either a vegetarian or omnivorous diet and gave them axillary pads to collect their body odor. Then, 30 women were asked to sniff and assess each pad for attractiveness and masculinity. A month later, the experiment was repeated, only the men adopted the opposite diet they had followed four weeks earlier. Both experiments revealed that women found the body odor of those following a meat-free diet to be the most pleasant and attractive.
While we can’t guarantee she’ll take you home if you order the vegetarian special, odds are good she’ll at least be more attracted to you if you nix meat for a week or two. Plus, previous findings have noted an association between fatty meat and abdominal obesity, so nixing burgers and steak will likely help you look and feel more attractive, too.
