Wendy's Pretzel Bacon Pub Triple Cheeseburger
Wendy's Pretzel Bacon Pub Triple Cheeseburger really left a mark as it made its way onto menus in 2020. The burger is made up of three of Wendy's square beef patties that are covered in warm beer cheese sauce, Applewood smoked bacon, smoky honey mustard, crispy fried onions, pickles, and a slice of muenster cheese. Oh, and that's all on a soft pretzel bun. It shouldn't come as much of a surprise that it has the most amount of calories out of all the burgers on the Wendy's menu.
KFC Chicken and Donut Sandwich
Dairy Queen Oreo Mocha Fudge Blizzard Treat
The DQ Blizzards are always a decadent fast-food dessert choice and the new Oreo Mocha Fudge Blizzard is no exception. This treat is made up of Oreo cookie pieces, chocolate chunks, and coffee blended with vanilla soft serve. A large order is more than 1,300 calories and is packing more sugar than 131 actual Oreo cookies.
Panera Broccoli Cheddar Mac & Cheese
Panera really made dreams come true in 2020 and combined the chain's signature broccoli cheddar soup and its' beloved macaroni and cheese into one dish. When served up in a bread bowl, this menu item has nearly an entire day's worth of sodium and more than half a day's worth of carbs.
Arby's Market Fresh Cranberry and Fried Turkey Sandwich
If Thanksgiving is your favorite holiday, this Arby's menu item seems like the dream, as this sandwich is stacked with Swiss cheese, pepper bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo with a cranberry spread, all on honey wheat bread. But the deep-fried turkey breast should stop you from proceeding! It's coming in at 830 calories and more than 2,000 milligrams of sodium—no, thanks.
Chick-fil-A Peppermint Chip Milkshake
Chick-fil-A added this festive peppermint-flavored milkshake to its seasonal menu in 2020. It's loaded up with actual chips of peppermint bark, and is topped off with whipped cream and a cherry. What's shocking is that a large size is 950 calories and contains more sugar than you would get from 28 Oreo cookies. Not something to celebrate, after all.
Taco Bell Grilled Cheese Burrito
This Taco Bell Grilled Cheese Burrito lives up to its promise. It's stuffed with nacho cheese sauce and shredded cheeses, creating a menu option that is 710 calories.
Sonic brought back the BBLT sandwich for a limited time in 2020. What exactly is in it? Between the two buns is plenty of bacon, more bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. By itself, it's coming in at more than 600 calories and loaded up with 1,300 milligrams of sodium. And you know you're most likely going to tack on some tater tots or even some ice cream to this fast-food order, which will only make things worse.
Domino's Cheeseburger Pizza
Domino's went ahead and combined cheeseburgers and pizza together for you. This pizza is made with ground beef and topped with a ketchup-mustard burger sauce, provolone and cheddar cheeses, bacon, tomatoes, and onions. It's no wonder the entire large pie has more than two days' worth of sodium!

A&W Sriracha Cheese Curds
A&W decided to spice up its signature cheese curds side dish in 2020 by adding hot sriracha sauce to the mix. Deep-fried cheese is already a food you want to think twice about before eating, but the fact that a large order of these is more than 1,000 calories? Hard pass.
Wendy's Pretzel Pub Chicken Sandwich
If you were hopeful Wendy's pretzel pub chicken sandwich might be a safer option than the massive pub burger, it's really not. Here, breaded chicken breast is topped with that same warm beer cheese sauce, Applewood smoked bacon, smoky honey mustard, crispy fried onions, pickles, and a slice of muenster cheese. It's still high in calories, fat, and sodium, like the burger option.
KFC Secret Recipe Fries
KFC broke hearts in 2020 with the decision to remove its iconic potato wedges from menus, but they were quickly replaced with the new Secret Recipe Fries. The fries are said to be loaded up with the exact same herbs and spices that are part of the chicken's secret recipe, but the more than 1,000 milligrams of sodium in this side dish is just far too much.
Arby's Root Beer Float
Arby's had this dessert option on their menu in the summer of 2020, and while a root beer float might be a nostalgic treat, this is just one major sugar bomb. A large order of this drink—which is made with Barq's root beer and Arby's creamy vanilla shake—has 118 grams of sugar. That's more of the sweet stuff than you would get if you ate 11 Krispy Kreme Original Glazed Donuts.
Checker's/Rally's Bacon BBQ Mother Cruncher Chicken Sandwich
This chicken sandwich quietly made its way to Checker's and Rally's locations in 2020. So what can you expect? Well, crunchy all-white chicken is coated in a sweet and smoky BBQ sauce, and stacked with crispy onion tanglers, lettuce, melted American cheese, and two slices of crispy bacon, on a toasted bun. This might have your mouth watering, but with more than 1,000 calories and more sodium than a person should eat in an entire day, this one gets a big skip.
Jack in the Box Triple Cheese & Bacon Curly Fries
Smashburger Gingerbread Holiday Shake
This sweet treat from Smashburger made its way onto menus toward the end of 2020, right in time for the holidays. The shake is mixed with real Häagen-Dazs ice cream and gingerbread cookie crumbles. But downing this shake leaves you with as much sugar as you would get from five whole Dunkin Chocolate Frosted Donuts. Yikes.
Papa John's Grilled Buffalo Chicken Papadia
The Grilled Buffalo Chicken Papadia is a flatbread-style sandwich that made its way to Papa John's in early 2020. It's loaded with grilled chicken, onions, cheese, buttermilk ranch, and buffalo sauce—and has more than an entire day's worth of sodium. If you happen to eat overly salty foods often, you might notice that you're gaining weight. Researchers at Deakin University found that consuming excess salt can lead you to not only crave fatty food, but end up eating more of these foods.
Arby's Deep Fried Turkey Club
The deep-fried turkey breast from Arby's strikes again! This time, it's a club sandwich that is stacked with natural cheddar cheese, pepper bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo, all on a toasted bun. Again, the sodium here is just too high.
Dairy Queen Royal Rocky Road Trip Blizzard Treat
Take a spoonful of The Royal Rocky Road Trip Blizzard from Dairy Queen and you're indulging in brownie pieces, peanuts, and cocoa fudge that are blended with vanilla soft serve and is filled with marshmallow. If you think it's going to be a sugar overload, you're right. A large order has more sugar than 15 Krispy Kreme Original Glazed Donuts!
Wendy's Breakfast Baconator Combo
Wendy's unveiled its breakfast menu in 2020 and while these tasty delights sound like the ideal way to start your morning, they're just not the best. The Breakfast Baconator Combo meal will have you eating a fat and sodium-filled breakfast! A bacon and cheese topped sausage sandwich alongside seasoned potatoes might get your mouth watering, but your waistline will not be happy.
Little Caesars Extramostbestest Italian Sausage Pizza
Little Caesars went ahead and topped this pizza with a mozzarella and Muenster cheese blend and savory Italian Sausage. Anything with trans fat should be avoided, but the amount of sodium in this large pie? It's the same amount you would get if you ate 58 pretzel rods.
Wendy's Big Bacon Classic Triple
First question—how do you even a burger this big? This Big Bacon Classic from Wendy's is made of three-quarters of a pound of beef, Applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, ketchup, mayo, and onion on a toasted bun. Talk about an overload!
Hardee's Monster Angus Thickburger
In addition to two beef patties, this Hardee's burger stacks four strips of bacon, three slices of American cheese, and mayo between the buns. Packing 97 grams of fat and more sodium than the average person should consume in one day are reasons enough to leave this burger alone.
Burger King Double Steakhouse King
This burger made its way back on the Burger King menu in 2020 at certain locations and although a fan favorite, it's not a burger you should be eating. It's more than 1,000 calories and has more sodium than you would get from nine bags of Lay's potato chips.
Sonic Oreo Peanut Butter Shake
This Sonic shake is just not OK! For the average person, it contains half of your daily sodium allowance, enough calories for the whole day, and two days' worth of fat. And that's without factoring in anything else you might want to order during your Sonic trip…
Burger King Triple Whopper with Cheese
The Whopper might be the classic BK burger, but this triple version is just bad news. It not only has more than 4 grams of artery-clogging trans fats, but also 32 grams of saturated fat, which is more than you should have in an entire day.
McDonald's Big Breakfast with Hotcakes, Biscuit, Scrambled Eggs, Sausage, and Hash Browns
While there was a time this year when McDonald's wasn't offering up its breakfast menu items, you're able to get your hands on some now, although it might not be available all day long at every location. The one meal to steer clear of? The Big Breakfast platter. This menu item has enough calories to cover breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Wendy's Bacon Jalapeño Cheeseburger Triple
Take a bite of this monstrous burger and you're eating three Wendy's patties that are topped with pickled jalapeños, Applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, crispy fried onions, a savory cheese sauce, and a smoky jalapeño sauce. Not only it is more than 1,200 calories and packing 86 grams of fat, but it has 4.5 grams of heart-harming trans fat. And it contains nearly your entire daily limit of sodium. Just don't ever order this burger.
